The babies became increasingly independent and started using the wheel.

One could also start to work out the sex of some of them. The way to do this is check the distance between their 2 holes underneath. The distance for the boys was about 1 inch, compared to very little for the girls

We also gave the babies temporary names. The pale ones were Alpha and Beta, the patterned ones Gamma and Delta, and the dark ones, Epsilon, Eta and Zeta

Unfortunately, one of the dark baby girls (Epsilon) fell to the floor, landed badly and died. The whole group looked very subdued for the next day, as if they knew that one of them was missing

At the end of the week, we separated a tired looking Ginger from the babies, into a cage right next to them.
